Arsenal vs Manchester United

Arsenal had the goal in the net within three minutes, but Kai Havertz was clearly offside when he played the ball to Gabriel Martinelli.

Thomas Partey then missed a great chance as the Gunners applied early pressure and missed the target from almost a yard out.

Newcastle United vs Liverpool

Goal scorers: Isak 35′;

Newcastle jumped out of the starting blocks at a very loud St James’ Park and had their first chance of the game within two minutes. CaoimhĂn Kelleher did a good job parrying Sandro Tonali’s low shot from the edge of the penalty area.

Liverpool got better and better after a slow start, with Alexis Mac Allister coming closest to taking the lead, hitting the post with a low shot.

Then Jacob Murphy hit the woodwork for the Magpies with a rasping strike from the right side, beating Kelleher.

After Alexander Isak Lewis almost helped Hall score, he took matters into his own hands and gave his team the lead with an incredible strike. After turning Virgil van Dijk, he fired a rocket from 25 meters that was past Kelleher before he knew it.

Manchester City vs Nottingham Forest

Goalscorers: Bernardo 8′, De Bruyne 31′

City started stronger and took the lead after just eight minutes through Bernardo Silva. Ä°lkay GĂĽndoÄźan lifted the ball to Kevin de Bruyne, who returned, and his header found Silva, who fired the ball over the line for his first league goal of the season.

De Bruyne was superb in the first half, getting on the scoresheet just after the half-hour, shortly after Chris Wood missed a golden opportunity to equalize for Forest.

Jérémy Doku was able to push inward from the left too easily and found his compatriot in the wide space in the penalty area. The City captain took one touch before firing the ball past another Belgian, Forest keeper Matz Sels.

Southampton vs Chelsea

Goalscorers: Aribo 11′; Disasi 7′, Nkunku 17′, Madueke 34′

The game got off to a flying start, with three goals scored within the first 17 minutes.

Chelsea broke the deadlock when Axel Disasi headed home from Enzo Fernandez’s corner. However, their lead only lasted a few moments as Joe Aribo leveled the Saints after being found in the penalty area by Kyle Walker-Peters.

The Blues regained their lead shortly afterwards through Christopher Nkunku. It was an unforgettable moment for Southampton keeper Joe Lumley as his pass was intercepted by goal as Noni Madueke Nkunku finished.

Both Cole Palmer and Tosin Adarabioyo struggled to hit the woodwork as the visitors threatened to lose the game in the first half hour.

They got a deserved third goal in the 34th minute when Madueke effortlessly slotted past Ryan Manning before edging past Ludley.

Soon after, any hope of a Saints fightback seemed to have been extinguished when captain Jack Stephens was shown his second straight red card of the season, this time for foolishly pulling Marc Cucurella’s hair at a corner.

Everton vs Wolves

Goalscorers: Young 11′, Mangala 34′

Ashley Young turned back the years in the 11th minute, firing a low free kick around the Wolves wall and past José Sá.

Gary O’Neil’s side struggled to get into the game and were given a reprieve shortly afterwards. Orel Mangala was offside before James Tarkowski shot the ball into the net.

Mangala made amends for his offside by scoring the second goal himself 10 minutes before half-time and his first for the Toffees. Vitalii Mykolenko’s shot bounced into his path on the edge of the penalty area and the midfielder gave Sá no chance with a brilliant shot.
