2024 LHSAA Prep Football Classic: Championship schedule and local teams

NEW ORLEANS – The LHSAA Prep Football Classic begins this week at Caesars Superdome. Six teams from our viewing area will be looking to add another championship to their trophy cases.

The local teams vying for a title are Edna Karr, Archbishop Shaw, ED White, Franklinton, St. James and South Plaquemines.

Below is the full schedule of this week’s state championships (Local teams are highlighted in bold):

Thursday, December 12, 2024

Noon – Division IV Select

Vermilion Catholic vs. Ouachita Christian

3:30 p.m. – Division IV non-selection
Haynesville vs. Southern Plaquemines

7:00 p.m. – Division III Non-Select
St. James against Sterlington

Friday, December 13, 2024

Noon – Division II Select

Archbishop Shaw v. ED White

3:30 p.m. – Division III Select
Dunham vs. Catholic-NI

7:00 p.m. – Division II non-selection
Franklinton against Cecilia

Saturday, December 14, 2024

Edna Karr against Alexandria

3:30 p.m. – Division I non-selection
