The New York Giants continued their disappointing and embarrassing season with an ugly 34-7 loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday.

The loss extended the Giants’ losing streak to 10 games, the longest in franchise history.

However, Sunday’s defeat also had a positive aspect. After the Giants had already lost, the Las Vegas Raiders, the other team with two wins in Week 16, defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars.

With Vegas’ win, the Giants are now projected to take first overall in the 2025 NFL Draft, according to Tankathon.

The Giants will be the only team with two wins in Week 17 and will (in a sense) control their own destiny. If they lose, they will be No. 1 in April for the first time since 1965.

Many suspect the Giants will target a quarterback in the draft. However, the question remains whether general manager Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll will still be with the team to make the selection.

The Antonio Pierce-led Raiders’ win ended a 10-game losing streak for Las Vegas.

The Giants will host the Indianapolis Colts in Week 17, where they appeared as strong underdogs. They then end the season away against the Philadelphia Eagles.
