Five people were hospitalized after an “incident” on one of Heavenly Mountain Resort’s chairlifts on Monday, officials said. The Lake Tahoe-area resort said the incident occurred on its Comet Express chairlift. A spokesman for the Tahoe Douglas Fire Protection District said crews transported the five people to Renown Hospital in Reno shortly after 10 a.m. The extent of her injuries is unknown. SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. –

Five people were hospitalized after an “incident” on one of Heavenly Mountain Resort’s chairlifts on Monday, officials said.

Photos shared with KCRA 3 showed what appeared to be a chair colliding with another.
