5 potential quarterback goals for Auburn Football in the transfer portal

Since the transfer portal is officially open until December 28th, there is no more important position for Auburn than the quarterback.

Payton Thorne, Hank Brown and Holden Geriner are about to leave the program, which means that the Tigers currently only have two scholarships quarters backs, the new newcomer Deice Knight and the newcomer to newcomer Walker White.

Hugh Freeze said on the day of the signing of the contract that he is planning to add four scholarships quarters in the squad in 2025, which means that Auburn would have to add two via the transfer portal. A number of well -known quarterbacks have already entered the portal, which offers Freeze and the employees options.

Ashton Daniels, Stanford

At the moment Daniel’s most likely quarterback seems to be that Auburn will commit, although he will probably not be the only one.

Kaidon Salter, Freedom

Salter has the most obvious connection to Auburn compared to the other potential goals, since he played at Freeze at Liberty for two years.

It fits in the way Freeze likes to go on the offensive, and it would not require a large learning curve to get back into the system. Salter’s best season at Liberty was in 2023 when he threw 2,876 yards and 32 touchdowns while scoring 1,089 yards and 12 touchdowns in the rushing.

However, his numbers declined in 2024 and made 1,886 yards, 15 touchdowns and six interceptions, while he achieved 587 yards and seven touchdowns in the rushing.

On3 reported that Auburn, together with Colorado and the UCLA, showed “interest” in salt.

Jackson Arnold, Oklahoma

In view of his changeable success in Oklahoma, Arnold is one of the most fascinating quarterback options as a recruit.

During his newcomer season in 2024, Arnold threw 1,421 yards, 12 touchdowns and three interceptions in 10 games, but was relatively strong for two games shortly before the middle of the season, but completed the year relatively strongly.

However, it could be difficult for Auburn to win Arnold because he worked with Jeff Lebby, head coach of Mississippi State, who was his offensive coordinator in Oklahoma in 2023. Darian Mensah, Tulane
