ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. — Buffalo Bills rookie running back Ray Davis jumped into the end zone — and into the snow — to give the Bills the lead over the San Francisco 49ers in the first quarter.
The Bills’ scoring drive came after the 49ers scored a field goal on their first drive. This was the first point the Bills had allowed on a first possession since the New York Jets kicked a field goal in Week 6.

Buffalo responded with a 13-play, 65-yard scoring drive that included a seven-yard rush from quarterback Josh Allen that converted a third-and-6. Davis finished the drive with his five-yard touchdown run, his third rushing touchdown of the season. The score gave the Bills a 7-3 lead.
The 49ers allowed a rushing touchdown for the eighth straight game, tying them with the Jets for the longest active streak in the NFL (Bengals, 10) and their longest streak since 2020 (11).
After a missed 45-yard field goal by the 49ers, the Bills took advantage of the team’s next play as running back James Cook accepted a handoff and found his way down the right sideline into the end zone for a 65-yard touchdown run and a snow angel celebration.
The score gave the Bills a 14-3 lead. The rush was the longest play of Cook’s career and the longest rushing touchdown by a Bills player since LeSean McCoy’s 75-yard rushing touchdown in 2016.
