RGV penned a long note in Telugu on He also drew parallels between the entertainment industry and the luxury market.

He wrote: “A man named Subbarao set up an Idli hotel and attacked 1000 per plate. This is because Subbarao believes that his idlis are superior to other idlis. But if the customer doesn’t find Subbarao’s idleness worthwhile, he won’t go to his hotel. Subbarao is the only one who loses in this scenario.”

RGV also said that people shouting that “Subbarao’s Idylls are not affordable for the common man” are “silly” because it is like saying, “A seven-star hotel is for the common man.” not affordable”. “If one argues that one is paying for the ambience of a seven-star hotel, then in the case of Pushpa 2, the seven-star quality is the film,” he added.

He also stated that “democratic capitalism is based on class divisions” and that films are made “for profit, not for public service.” “If no one cries over the prices of luxury cars, buildings and branded clothing, why do they cry over movie tickets? Is entertainment important? Is it more important than housing, food and clothing?” he asked, adding, “Compared to the prices of these necessities, the ticket price for Pushpa 2 is low.”

He also pointed out that people could choose not to see the film or watch it if ticket prices drop. Instead, he said it was ironic that tickets were sold out. “Let’s get back to Subbarao’s hotel. The price of the idli clearly worked. The proof of this is the fact that even Subbarao can’t find a seat in the hotel – all the seats are fully booked!”
