Five-star DL Jahkeem Stewart is headed to USC

Lincoln Riley and the Trojans are a team that expects fireworks at the conclusion of the early signing period.

One huge domino that fell in USC’s favor is five-star DL Jahkeem Stewart.

Rivals was the first to predict the five-star defenseman would end up at USC. Shortly before National Signing Day, the Trojans signed the eighth Rivals250 prospect from The Boot.

Stewart, Rivals The top-ranked junior player at his position has played 12 varsity games. He was no longer eligible to play after reclassifying to the 2025 class.

Despite the lack of experience in the game, Stewart has been identified as “a generational” talent by various coaches across the country. Stewart was extremely productive in his lone varsity season at St. Aug High School in New Orleans, Louisiana, and at 6-foot-4 and 285 pounds, he has dominated in various camp settings over the past three years .

The Trojans edged out Oregon, Ohio State and LSU on the five-star DL from Louisiana. Since the spring, when the Rivals250’s No. 1 DL began accelerating his recruitment, Stewart traveled to Los Angeles to visit the Trojans more than five times and was nearing a decision in December.

Oregon and Ohio State also led the way for Stewart at various points in his recruitment. The Tigers made a late push with the five-star recruit.

USC’s Eric Henderson is an Edna Karr graduate from New Orleans (La.). His track record as Aaron Donald’s coach was a major catalyst that drew Stewart to USC. This also applies to opportunities off the field.

During his official visit in November, Stewart and his circle met with several senior officials. According to multiple well-informed sources familiar with this recruitment, the five-star defenseman is not expected to receive opportunities between $2 million and $3 million.

The Trojans may not be finished either.

After welcoming four-star defensive lineman Christian Ingram for an official visit over the weekend, we expect the Trojans to have another big target on the defensive line. Four-star safety Stephen Miller also returned to Los Angeles over the weekend. After a strong push from South Carolina, we expect Miller to remain with the Trojans.
