Creighton men’s basketball defeated the best team in the country on Wednesday night. Jamiya Neal got the Jays off to a great start with four straight points. Pop Isaacs pushed Creighton even further forward. Check out this play from Steven Ashworth. Ryan Kalkbrenner put Creighton up 35-22 with less than four minutes left in the first half. Heading into the locker room, the Jays led by 10 points. Isaacs had tallied 12 points while Kalkbrenner had nine points. Ashworth had eight in the first half. Kansas began to close the gap, but Ashworth found Kalkbrenner had the edge. “For the second year in a row, a No. 1 ranked team comes to Creighton and leaves Creighton with a loss,” he told NCAA March Madness on social media.
