According to the latest reports, the captain of the Canadian team could move to the New York Rangers

Jeff Marek’s return on his new show “The Sheet” sent off some shockwaves, sending former NHL player Rhett Warrener talking about a possible trade between the New York Rangers and Ottawa Senators for Brady Tkachuk.

During the podcast, Warrener told Marek that he was ready to spice things up in the chat after revealing that Tkachuk had purchased a beachfront property in New Jersey and that his home was 75% complete. He also added that his in-laws live in the town south of Manasquan.

Both organizations are not where they want to be heading into the season, as the Ottawa Senators continue to struggle and appear ready to make some changes.

General manager Steve Staios had mentioned that the team needs to repair itself internally, but there is no doubt that he would be willing to look elsewhere.

As for the Rangers, all Rangers fans now know that General Manager Chris Drury is completely unhappy with his team and has even allowed the names of Chris Kreider and others to be revealed.

Along with recent reports that Jacob Trouba is transferring today after being sidelined due to roster management and will likely be traded or placed on waivers.

A trade between the Senators and Rangers would require money in and out since both teams set their budgets less than two months ago and many players would have big ticket contracts.

If the teams were able to pull off this trade, it would send shockwaves throughout the NHL and become one of the biggest trades in recent memory.

It remains to be seen whether this deal will go through, but with both clubs looking to make changes, there is a chance they could turn to each other for help in solving their problems.
