Women steal ,000 worth of products from Ulta: Arlington Heights PD Blotter

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL – The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and people arrested by police. RETAIL THEFT

  • Erick Deivid Castro, 28, of the 1600 block of S. Homan Avenue, Chicago, is charged with retail theft and arrested at 12:41 a.m. Nov. 29 in the 2200 block of N. Seminary Avenue, Woodstock. The court date was set for December 11th.
  • Krzysztof R. Kurek, 52, of the 1100 block of N. Sterling Avenue, Palatine, is charged with retail theft and arrested at 8:23 p.m. Dec. 4 in the 200 block of E. Sigwalt Street, Arlington Heights. He was released and a court date was set for January 27, 2025.

BREACH OF DEPOSIT

Taja D. McKinney, 25, homeless, had a warrant for bail violation and was arrested on Dec. 4 at 10:36 p.m. in the 1500 block of W. Dempster Street.

BATTERY

Konstantinos D. Staveris, 49, of the 1300 block of Chestnut Avenue, Arlington Heights, is charged with assault and arrested Dec. 5 at 5:34 p.m. in the 1300 block of Chestnut Avenue. He was released and a court date was set for January 27, 2025.

Driving with a revoked/suspended license

Nila Vortkinoyan, 78, of the 400 block of Inland Drive, Wheeling, is charged with driving with a suspended license and operating an uninsured motor vehicle and was arrested at 7:02 p.m. Dec. 5 in the 300 block of Industrial Drive, Wheeling. She was released and given a court date of February 3, 2025.

INCIDENTS

THEFT

A resident of the 900 block of E. Shady Way reported that between 2 a.m. and noon on Nov. 26, his red Huffy bike and a blue Huffy bike were stolen from the patio.

BURGLARY

  • An employee at Red Rooster, 1628 W. Northwest Highway, reported at 1:35 a.m. Nov. 27 that four people forcibly entered the store and stole an unknown number of alcohol bottles. The group came and went in a black Hyundai and a black Infiniti.
  • A resident in the 500 block of Happfield Drive called police and reported that during the overnight hours of Nov. 30, someone had forced entry into a shed and stolen approximately $2,000 worth of tools.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE TO A VEHICLE

A resident in the 900 block of E. Golf Road reported at 11:50 p.m. Nov. 29 that he saw two people in his silver Lexus. It later emerged that the duo had broken the sunroof to gain entry.

RETAIL THEFT

  • An employee at Dick’s Sporting Goods, 401 E. Palatine Road, reported at 8:25 p.m. Nov. 30 that a man stole an unknown number of women’s Nike Phoenix Fleeces. The person was described as a Hispanic male.
  • An employee at Ulta, 13 W. Rand Road, reported at 3:20 p.m. Dec. 1 that two women stole approximately $1,000 worth of products. The two, who drove off in a white Chevrolet Impala, are described as: Black, about 30 years old, with long hair, wearing a white hat, white jacket and blue jeans; Black, about 30 years old, is wearing a green headscarf, a black jacket and blue jeans
