Barry Keoghan deactivates Instagram after split from Sabrina Carpenter

Barry Keoghan appeared to have deleted his social media page following his breakup Sabrina Carpenter.

As of Saturday, December 9, Keoghan’s official Instagram account redirects to an unavailable page that states, “The link you are following may be broken or the page may have been removed.” It is not clear why 32-year-old Keoghan deleted his profile.

Hours earlier, he uploaded an Instagram Story mirror selfie after a workout to show off his bulging biceps, according to a screenshot he obtained Daily Mail.

Us weekly confirmed earlier this week that Keoghan and Carpenter, 25, had broken up after nearly a year of dating.

“Since she went on tour, her relationship has been challenging and she has been away a lot,” a source said exclusively Us. “Their schedules didn’t match. All the time she spent apart made it difficult to maintain a relationship while her career exploded.”

A second insider explained that the split happened “last month.”

“This was the busiest time for both of them and their schedules didn’t match,” the second source added. “They were hoping they could spend more time together and that put a strain on the relationship.”

Carpenter and the actor who recently completed filming the upcoming film Peaky Blinders film, which was ultimately separated by mutual consent.

“They are cordial and it wasn’t controversial,” the second insider continued. “Both agreed it wasn’t working. That was something they struggled with, being in different places all the time.”

Carpenter, who received her first Grammy nominations last month, recently completed her U.S. leg Short and sweet tour before she is released Nonsense Christmas Special on Netflix Friday, December 6th.

Keoghan, meanwhile, has been busy filming projects like Bird, hurry up tomorrow, Amo Saddam and the above Peaky Blinders Production. He is also “very focused on his family life,” another source said Us. (Keoghan shares two-year-old son Brando with a previous partner.)

Keoghan and Carpenter first met at a Paris Fashion Week event in fall 2023 and began an exclusive relationship the following January. Since then, he has performed at several of her concerts, including the Coachella festival in April. A month later, they made their red carpet debut at the Met Gala. Keoghan also played Carpenter’s love interest in her music video “Please Please Please”.
