The Pioneers Museum is hosting a family fun day before the Festival of Lights

COLORADO SPRINGS – The Pioneers Museum will host its annual Festival of Lights Family Fun Day prior to the Colorado Springs Festival of Lights Parade.

This event will feature free family fun events at 214 S. Tejon St from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

In preparation for the event, the museum closes at 1:00 p.m. and reopens for the event at 2:00 p.m

Events and activities include musical performances, face painting, a magic show and more!

The Pioneer Museum

The 40th annual Colorado Springs Festival of Lights Parade begins at 5:50 p.m. in downtown Colorado Springs.

It begins on Tejon St. at Boulder St. and continues south on Tejon St. to Vermijo Ave.

Parade officials say it is “known as downtown’s number one day, this festive celebration brings joy to tens of thousands of people on Tejon Street in downtown Colorado Springs each holiday season.”

If you are concerned about parking, the following parking garages are free during the parade:

• Bijou/Cascade Parking Garage – 215 N. Cascade Ave.
• Nevada/Colorado Parking Garage – 130 S. Nevada Ave.
• Kiowa/Nevada Parking Garage – 127 E. Kiowa St.
