Kylie Kelce talks swearing in front of kids, pregnancy and more in podcast debut

When it comes to raising children, Kylie Kelce does it her way.

The mother of three and former athlete spoke about the criticism she received from others for cursing in front of her three daughters – Wyatt Elizabeth Kelce, 5; Elliotte Kelce, 3, and Bennett Llewellyn Kelce, 1, who she shares with husband Jason Kelce — she calls it “over the top.”

“My kids, like I said, know that these are adult words,” Kylie Kelce said on the first episode of her podcast “Not Gonna Lie,” released Thursday. She also assured her listeners that her children would not be intimidated by the bad words.

“They’re not horrified by it because I don’t use it on my children,” she said. “They will only be used in front of my children.”

But words she considers bad words in her home are “stupid,” “shut up,” and “loser,” she said.

“I will say if you say ‘stupid,’ if you say ‘shut up,’ if you say ‘loser,’ they’re going to stop you,” she said. “You will get in trouble with my children. When you say these words in our house, they are bad words. We don’t say “shut up” and we don’t say “stupid.” Otherwise, free range.”

While Kylie Kelce understands others’ concerns about using some words in her home that may be taboo for young children, she said she ultimately teaches her children kindness.

“I teach them to be funny, strong and independent,” she said. “Ultimately, I’m trying to raise good little girls to be strong, independent women.”

She added that she was aware that her children might swear when they were older. “I stand by that,” she said. “If they decide not to, that’s fine too.”

Kylie Kelce, who announced in November that she was expecting another baby, also shared in the first episode how excited she was to have another baby, noting that her husband “makes sweet girls.”

She also talked about the reality of getting pregnant and being pregnant. Kylie Kelce previously revealed a miscarriage she suffered years before her eldest daughter Wyatt was born in a TikTok video she shared in July.

“I always say that I am so incredibly grateful to have been able to get pregnant. Incredibly grateful,” she said. “I’ve realized in my adult life that getting pregnant isn’t as easy as we were originally taught in high school. You can’t just look at someone and cheer and that’s it. It’s not that simple.”

Although she is grateful, she said being pregnant isn’t always the best experience, calling it “a means to an end.”

“I’m not having fun,” she said. “I suffer from nausea for most of my pregnancy. After the first trimester the nausea subsides a bit because every single trimester was the same. The nausea subsides a little, but I continue to have nausea throughout the pregnancy. I had dislikes, more than cravings, for every pregnancy.”

As she prepares to welcome another girl into the family, Kylie Kelce said her youngest daughter Bennett is still adjusting to the news. In her pregnancy announcement last month, Bennett is seen visibly upset in the photo.

“Benny feels deeply and personally victimized by the fact that we chose to give her another sibling,” said Kylie Kelce, mentioning that Bennett “physically takes her away when there are other children around who try to to sit on her lap.”

New episodes of “Not Gonna Lie” appear every Thursday on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts and all major platforms.
