Auburn QB transfer Hank Brown is expected to attend Iowa

Auburn Quarterback transfer Hank Brown focuses on visits as he continues his search for a new school outside the portal, and Iowa is expected to receive a visit on Thursday.

On3’s Pete Nakos confirmed the news, which is an interesting development for the former Tigers gunslinger.

Iowa, of course, is looking for a veteran signal-caller for a new quarterback Cade McNamara entered the transfer portal after his second season with the Hawkeyes. McNamara threw for 1,017 yards and six touchdowns against five interceptions during the 2024 season.

Hank Brown is coming off a season in which he made two starts in relief for Auburn Payton Thorne.

He completed 27 of 43 attempts for 403 yards and threw six touchdowns and three interceptions in three games. However, he was benched before the Tigers’ game against Thorne Oklahoma.

Before enrolling at Auburn, Hank Brown was ranked as a three-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class and the No. 1,108 overall player nationally. He was also the No. 55 quarterback in his class and the No. 31 overall player from the state of Tennessee coming from Lipscomb Academy in Nashville (TN).

Auburn DB Antonio Kite is entering the transfer portal

Hank Brown isn’t the only player looking for a new home at Auburn this offseason. Defensive back Antonio Kite has too enter the transfer portal.

Kite started his career at Alabamabut changed after two seasons. He spent a year with the Tigers before deciding to move on.

Over the course of his career, Kite has recorded six tackles, one interception, one fumble recovery and one defensive touchdown.

A member of the class of 2022, Kite was a three-star recruit from Anniston (Ala.) High, according to the On3 Industry Rankings, a weighted average that takes into account all four major recruiting media companies. He was the No. 8 overall safety in the state, the No. 13 safety in the class and the No. 161 overall safety in the class.
