“Eternity begins now,” Gomez, 32, captioned an Instagram post on Wednesday, December 11, showing off her engagement ring. Blanco, 36, celebrated the milestone, writing in the comments section, “Hey wait… that’s my wife.”
The couple worked together on a handful of songs – including their 2015 hit “Same Old Love” – before becoming romantically involved in 2023. After sparking dating rumors with Blanco, Gomez confirmed their relationship in December 2023, revealing that they had been dating for “six months.”

The following month, a source exclusively shared Us weekly that Gomez has “never been with anyone like” Blanco.
“She loves the way Benny treats her: he’s so kind and considerate,” the insider said in January. “It’s been a very long time since friends have seen Selena so happy. She’s literally beaming.”
In February, Gomez shared a rare glimpse into her dynamic with Blanco. “Without going into too much detail, I think it’s just really important to meet someone who respects you,” she explained in an interview with Apple Music 1 Zane Lowe. “And I think it’s really nice to be able to rely on someone who understands the world I live in.”

A second source, meanwhile, stressed that Gomez and Blanco are in it for the long haul. “She definitely thinks this relationship is going to be long-distance,” the insider noted. “They’ve talked about marriage and having children and they largely agree.”
