Taylor Swift joked about her plans to play a special role in Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco’s future wedding after the couple announced their engagement.
“Yes, I will be the flower girl,” the 34-year-old pop star captioned the bride-to-be’s announcement on Wednesday.
Gomez, 32, wrote in her caption, “Eternity begins now.”
She showed off her diamond ring from the 36-year-old producer as well as the picnic where the marriage proposal apparently took place.
“Hey wait…that’s my wife,” Blanco commented on the upload.
Swift, who has been close friends with Gomez since they both began dating members of the Jonas Brothers in 2008, wasn’t the only A-lister in the actress’ comments section.
Jennifer Aniston gushed: “Honey!! Happy birthday sweet mama,” while Gwyneth Paltrow simply wrote, “SELENAAAAAAAA.”
Cardi B wrote: “Wait a minute.”
Mariska Hargitay, Ashley Benson, Suki Waterhouse and more stars congratulated, and Lily Collins called it “the best news.”
Gomez and Blanco went public with their romance in December 2023, and the record executive told The Howard Stern Show listeners about their plans to start a family five months later.
“That’s my next goal,” he said in May, praising his partner as “the coolest, the nicest (and) the sweetest” person.
“You and me both,” Blanco remarked when Howard Stern expressed his belief that marriage was in their future.
While Swift didn’t comment on Gomez and Blanco’s romance, her boyfriend Travis Kelce showed his support in January.
At the time, the Kansas City Chiefs player “liked” an Instagram photo of the duo attending a Los Angeles Lakers game.
