Elden Ring: Nightreign revealed, coming in 2025

FromSoftware has just announced a co-op spinoff of Elden Ring called Neightreign.
It will be released sometime next year on PC, PS4/PS5 and Xbox.

FromSoftware and Bandai NAmco have just announced a new co-op game Elden Ring for 2025, an action spin-off called Neightreign that apparently even features the Nameless King from Dark Souls 3.

While previous Soulslike games have featured co-op in the form of invasions and summoning, this appears to be a more traditional approach, coming to PS4/PS5, Xbox and PC sometime next year.

As reported by IGN, you can work together with two friends and embark on a map where enemies and locations are always randomly selected – a different experience than the usual FromSoftware game.

We didn’t get many other details about Nightreign in the show itself, but the fast-paced gameplay montage still gave us some interesting insights.

Sites of Grace are returning, there’s a new glider (a magical bird you can summon) that comes with horizontal wind vortexes, the map is a condensed version of Limgrave, and we’ll be hunting down a ton of reimagined FromSoftware’s past bosses.

It remains to be seen how Sites of Grace will work in a traditional co-op environment, as they are the only way to “pause” a Soulslike used to level up, restore your flasks, and replenish an area’s enemies. But since the game is supposedly inspired by Monster Hunter and we’ll be hunting bosses with our friends, it’s likely that they’ll be included in this new gameplay loop.
