Did you know that the National Finals Rodeo (NFR) and Cowboy Christmas come to Las Vegas every year for a massive, nearly 10-day event?
While some events require tickets (which sell out pretty quickly in advance!), there are tons of FREE family-friendly events you can attend.

Cowboy Channel Cowboy Christmas
The Wrangler National Finals Rodeo’s only official gift show, The Cowboy Channel Cowboy Christmas, has been a Las Vegas tradition since 1986. The Cowboy Channel Cowboy Christmas features more than 500,000 square feet of exhibit space and more than 350 exhibitors from across the United States.

South Point Arena
There are several free events happening every day at South Point Arena (where we went this year!)
- Join us for the South Point Presents Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation Viewing Party, followed by the Wrangler NFR Go Round Buckle presentations hosted by Flint Rasmussen and Joe Beaver in the South Point Showroom.
- Free live music to watch the Buckle presentations every night – Chancey Williams, Aaron Watson and Randall King.
- South Point is also home to Miss Rodeo America and many of the pre-NFR events, including the Wrangler Gold Buckle Gala benefiting the ProRodeo Hall of Fame on December 2nd, the NFR Contestants Reception on December 3rd and the PRCA Annual Awards Banquet and Cinch Western Kickoff Party on December 4th.
- South Point Arena and Equestrian Center will host the Breakaway Roping National Finals (December 3-4), the 2024 Benny Binion’s World Famous Bucking Horse & Bull Sale, the Stace Smith World Bronc Futurity Finals and the PRCA Permit Member of the Year Challenge (December 3-4). 5) and the Ariat World Series of Team Roping Finale XVIII (December 6-15).
- South Point is an official shuttle stop! Take the free NFR Express shuttle to/from the Thomas & Mack Center each evening.
