SBNation reacts to results: Seattle Seahawks fans expect the NFC West title to be decided in Week 18

Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NFL. Every week we ask questions of the most connected people Seattle Seahawks Fans and fans across the country.

There was a pretty big burst of speed for the Seattle Seahawks midway through the season, but that’s long in the rearview mirror after rattling off four straight wins. Fan confidence is rising again, as you can see from the results of this week’s poll.

Shocking what a good winning streak can do!

It’s more than just the final result of the games. During this losing streak, the players and coaching staff kept talking about how no one gave up, despite losing five of six games. When that courage and determination is backed by a consistently excellent defense and an effective offense that provide a glimpse of life in the dormant run game?

That’s the good stuff, my friends, and it’s Chef Macdonald’s recipe for success.

However, this week brings with it a serious threat to that winning streak in the form of the 9-4 Green Bay Packers. Awaiting them at Lumen Field is an enthusiastic Action Green fan base with a few extra hours to build up some courage for the primetime matchup on Sunday Night Football. The 12s should rock and come into the game feeling pretty good about their chances of turning those cheeseheads into fondue.

What an important win that would be, as Seattle and Green Bay would both be tied with 9-5 records and the Seahawks would have the direct tiebreaker for possible wild card scenarios. I hate to even talk about it when Seattle is currently leading the NFC West, but the Los Angeles Rams are just doomed won’t Go away! They defeated the San Francisco 49ers in a tough game Football on Thursday evenings game to increase their record to 8-6, remaining just one game behind the Seahawks and having already beaten them this season.

It certainly feels like the NFC West is headed to its final game of the season when Seattle travels to Los Angeles. Looks like the majority of Seahawks fans expect that too.

As inevitable as it may seem at the moment, Seattle is in control of its own destiny and has a chance to prove how “real” they are in this final stretch of the 2024 season, starting with the game against Green Bay.
