Lynnville woman dies Saturday in collision with Semi | KNIA KRLS Radio

A Lynnville woman was killed in a tractor-trailer accident Saturday afternoon south of Kellogg. The Iowa State Patrol reports that an International MV607, operated by Leticia Penate De Rodriguez of Des Moines, was traveling south on County Highway T-22 near the I-80 interchange when it left the side of the road. The driver corrected too much to the left and crossed the center line. A 2021 Chevorlet Silverado, driven by 56-year-old Gerry Lee Van Dyke, was traveling north on T-22 and collided head-on with the semi-truck. The passenger in the Silverado, identified as 51-year-old Jill Christine Van Dyke, died at the scene, while Gerry was transported with injuries by a MercyOne ambulance from Newton to MercyOne in Des Moines. The driver of the semi-trailer was uninjured. The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by multiple Jasper County-based agencies.
