Parker Posey in Season 3 of The White Lotus is already feeding me

I’ve been in love with Parker Posey, to some extent, since I first saw her as an incredibly mean cheerleader who screamed at frightened young women, “Fry like bacon, you little newbie pigs! Fry!” and splattered with ketchup and mustard Dazed and confused. So perhaps it’s only natural for my brain to flash back to her upcoming role in the Thailand-set third season of The White Lotus as a kind of rescue from the brutal reality of our political moment.

Has the show premiered yet? No. Did we even get a full-length trailer? No. Am I already imagining Posey’s deadpan rendition of an iconic, queer-centric past? White lotus Lines like Jennifer Coolidge’s “These gays are trying to murder me” and Sydney Sweeney’s “It seems homophobic”? Naturally. Hearing Posey scream, “If someone stole my Lorazepam, I’m going to have to drink myself to sleep” in the season’s first teaser is so good.
