Denver Broncos QB Bo Nix was once again named NFL Rookie of the Week

Rookie Bo Nix earned NFL Rookie of the Week honors for the third straight year, becoming a staple in our Denver Broncos news cycle. He is the first Bronco player to win the award three weeks in a row and is one step away from matching Knowshon Moreno’s team all-time record set in 2009.

Against the Las Vegas Raiders, Bo Nix went 25/49 for 273 yards and two touchdowns. During those three games, Nix has completed 71.4% of his passes for 795 yards and eight touchdowns. He also didn’t lose any balls during this period. For a newbie, Bo Nix plays soccer in the dark.

According to NextGen Stats, there are only two rookies in NFL history who have had a comparable three-game playing time.

Bo Nix was efficient against the Raiders’ zone coverage in Week 12, completing 17/21 attempts for 170 yards (+3.7% CPOE), as opposed to just 8/21 pass attempts for 103 yards and 2 TDs against man coverage (-16.1% CPOE). ). Nothing and Dak Prescott (Weeks 9-11, 2016) are the only rookie QBs since 1970 to record 8+ passing TDs and 0 INTs in a 3-game span

That kind of run should certainly make Nix one of the top candidates for NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. It looks like this race is thanks to him and Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels.

As we celebrate Thanksgiving across the country today, Broncos Country has something more to be thankful for this year. It’s been a long eight years since Peyton Manning, but it looks like we’re finally emerging from this dark age.

Come on, Broncos!
