Well, in any given year we have less than a 20% chance here in the SUSQUEHANNA VALLEY. Unless you go up by MIFFLIN and JUNIATA, it’s about 21, 22%. And if we look at the 8-1014 day outlook, things aren’t looking particularly good for a white Christmas. AT THESE TEMPERATURES WE WILL BE ABOVE AVERAGE. And then when we look at the precipitation outlook here, we’re about average. We therefore do not expect any major storms on the way to Christmas, which is good news. We’re keeping an eye on December 25th to see if we could have a white Christmas in south-central Pennsylvania. “Every year here in the Susquehanna Valley we have less than a 20 percent chance (of snowfall), unless you’re up near Mifflin, Juniata. Right there it’s about 21, 22 percent,” said WGAL meteorologist Mike Susko. As far as our chances for a white Christmas this year, things aren’t looking promising. “The temperatures will be above average. And if we even look at the precipitation outlook, we’re average. “So we don’t expect any major storms heading into Christmas,” Mike said.
