Raiders DE Maxx Crosby provides season-ending injury update

The Las Vegas Raiders’ season was packed Disappointment and hurt. When the defense ended, things got even worse for the Raiders Max Crosby was injured in week 14.

Crosby’s injury will keep him out for the remainder of the season. Crosby had only missed one game in his career before this injury. That was Week 4 this season. Crosby was one of the best defensive players in the National Football League.

“I’m in Charlotte right now, got a red eye with my wife last night, and we’re meeting with Dr. today. Anderson, and I’m having surgery tomorrow,” Crosby said on SiriusXM NFL Radio. “So yeah, unfortunately against Tampa it went really badly. To be honest, it was very similar to the first time. But this one ended up being even worse.

“As much as it hurts me – I obviously want to be on the field and be with my teammates and so on – it shouldn’t be like this, you know what I mean?” You don’t always have full control of everything.

Crosby discussed the surgery and how he is approaching it.

“Yes, at the moment the situation is still a bit up in the air. Originally I saw that, you know, we got the x-rays and everything back and they told me it was third grade, I need surgery. And it’s either going to be a rope operation, which is very likely, or they’re going to have to go in there and take a look because I’ve got some spurs and little things like that too. So as soon as I met Dr. Anderson, I know exactly what I’m going to do. But there’s a bit of a gray area about what exactly he’ll do. So I got this appointment today, so we’ll figure it out and everything will be okay.”

“I’ve been through a lot in my life, and for myself I’ve been through a lot worse. You know what I mean? As bad as that is and as hard as it is for me, because like you said, I’m really obsessed with this game. I just put everything into it. I train all year round. I’m in the building all year round. It doesn’t stop. Even now, like I’m literally in Charlotte, I have multiple refrigerators set up with a complete food prep system. It doesn’t stop. I have my entire recovery plan. Everything is here. No matter where I go, it never stops. As for me, I just stay updated, you know what I mean? Ultimately, I can’t do everything I want to do right now. I wish I was training with my teammates. I wish I was hanging out with the guys and attending all the meetings and stuff like that. But this week I just tried to keep it as normal and routine as possible.”
