The Kansas City Chiefs’ hot start evened out in the second quarter of their game against the Houston Texans on Saturday, but the defending Super Bowl champions got back into the swing of things just before halftime.
After a defensive turnover and a subsequent touchdown by the Chiefs to open the game, Kansas City’s offense stagnated after the first quarter.
With less than five minutes left, quarterback Patrick Mahomes had pulled off a near-perfect drive that culminated in an impressive touchdown scored by veteran running back Kareem Hunt.
Check out this video of Hunt’s touchdown posted to the Chiefs’ official Twitter account:
Hunt’s return to Kansas City was a success and the former Toledo Rocket has proven to be a key asset to Andy Ried’s offense despite the return of Isiah Pacheco to the starting lineup.
Stay tuned to see if Hunt can continue to impress as Kansas City looks to beat Houston and improve to 13-1 on the season.
