One and done.
No. 12 seed Clemson showed heart, but fell 38-24 to No. 5 seed Texas in the first round of the College Football Playoff on Saturday at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium.
Fans and analysts flooded social media with reactions to the first-ever game between the Tigers and Longhorns, which was attended by 101,150 fans.

Much of the debate since the CFP field was announced has centered on the relative merits of one-loss teams and three-loss teams. Texas-Clemson has had a reasonably strong performance against three-loss teams.

Well, unlike Indiana and SMU, Clemson showed some fighting spirit, although the offense showed most of that fight. The D had a few key stops but was basically transported all night.
