Buccaneers defensive lineman Vita Vea leads the NFC Pro Bowl voting at defensive lineman

Buccaneers defensive lineman Vita Vea leads the NFC Pro Bowl voting at defensive lineman

A lot of focus has been on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ offense, and for good reason – they currently have the No. 4 offense in the league. But there have been some standout performances from Tampa Bay’s defense this year, and one of them is being recognized by fans across the league.

The National Football League will host the Pro Bowl Games in 2025 – a competition whose MVP was named Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield in the 2024 edition – and voting is nearing completion. The NFL has named leaders for each conference at each position, and one of those leaders happens to be Buccaneers defensive tackle Vita Vea, who leads the NFC at his position:

Vea is having a strong year in Tampa Bay. He’s totaled 35 tackles and six sacks so far on the year, and he still has three more games left to do some serious damage. Vea has been a particularly poor pairing with Buccaneers edge rusher Calijah Kancey, who also has six sacks on the year – both leading the team in that category.
