Historic ace for Woods on the last day

Charlie’s first hole-in-one came with a stunning drive on the par-3 quarter, where he hit a seven-iron about six feet from the hole before watching it roll into the cup.

“It was the thrill of my life to experience that moment with Charlie, making his first hole-in-one, Sam (his daughter) on the ball, just our family and friends,” Woods added. “That’s what this event is about. It’s about bonding and family.”

“I know we didn’t win so we could have this experience together, but it was because of the fact that we competed. Nobody out there really made a mistake. We had to earn it and that’s what you want. Hats off to the Langers – they played great.”

On getting his first ace, Woods Jnr said: “It was great having Dad there. That was so much fun. It was just a perfect seven iron, a little cut in there. Of course I never saw it go in. So this.” sucks. But that’s okay.”

What’s next for Tiger?

Tiger’s appearance was definitely his first at an event since he missed the cut at The Open in July and underwent back surgery in September to relieve cramps and pain he suffered during the 2024 season Woods was unable to compete in the Hero World Challenge earlier this month.

“I’m nowhere near being able to be competitive,” Woods admitted on the PGA Tour website. “I’m a great scramble partner. We formed a great team this week and that’s the beauty of it.”
