Saratoga Catholic students send more than 100 cards to the Rockefeller Center tree donor

Saratoga students shared their holiday joy this month with a man whose gift has brought joy to many thousands.

According to a report on the school’s website, the entire Saratoga Central Catholic School student body went on a field trip to upstate New York City on December 5, 2024. The highlight of the trip was attending the legendary Christmas Spectacular at Radio City Music Hall, followed by the magical sight of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree.

Earl Albert, the generous man from West Stockbridge, Massachusetts, who donated the magnificent Rockefeller Tree – the first tree selected in Massachusetts since 1959 – suffered a stroke just weeks before the lighting ceremony. Unable to attend the celebrations due to his stroke and hospitalization, his family warmly requested Christmas cards on social media to lift his spirits.

Students in grades 6 to 12 did not hesitate to make over 100 Christmas cards and send them to Albert, wishing him well and thanking him for his gift to the city.

If you would like to join and contribute to this cause, the Albert family would be happy to receive additional Christmas cards at the following address:
