NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions for Wednesday: Karl Anthony-Towns, Tyrese Maxey, LeBron James (12/25)

Welcome to Sleeper Picks. Sleeper’s latest offering promised plenty of entertainment and action, and they delivered. We’ll break down our top three picks for tonight’s NBA action. Sleeper is quickly becoming one of the most popular all-season fantasy platforms and is expanding into other areas depending on demand. Each week in this space we’ll discuss strategy for the new platform while also sharing our favorite NBA more/less picks.

NBA Sleeper Picks Player Predictions (12/25)

Karl-Anthony Towns (F/C – NYK): 19.5 points (alt line)

The double-double line was the first game here, but since the lines are released on Monday night as there are no games played on Tuesday, there is a high chance the line will expire by the time you read this. With that in mind, let’s tap the Alt line of dots. 23.5 seems, at least on the surface, to be a value for a player who averages 24.7 points per game. Towns has scored 24 or more points in just four of his last eight games, but has dropped 20 or more in six of them (with one 19-point game). KAT should be at the top for a Christmas Day match against Victor Wembanyama, especially since he now gets to face him while both have played roles. Tyrese Maxey (G – PHI): 19.5 points (alt line)

Maxey will face the Boston Celtics on Christmas Day and enters the contest on a six-game streak of 22 or more pointers. He has scored 21 or more points in nine of his last 10 games and is in great position to score at least that many points tonight against a Boston Celtics team that is giving up 23.77 points per game to opposing point guards. LeBron James (G/F – LAL): 19.5 points (alt line)

LeBron may finally be slowing down, but he’s still a great player. He may need to be more judicious in picking his spots, but with the Lakers having little other than Anthony Davis, they’ll continue to lean on LBJ, even though he’s wanted to take a step back for years. LeBron is averaging 23.2 points per game this season. He has surpassed the 20-point mark in four of his last six games and has scored at least 28 points in each of those four contests. LeBron should be at the top of his game on Christmas Day, not only because he’s in another Christmas showdown, but also because he’s facing rival Steph Curry on the court. Both teams are fighting to get out of the game in their territory, knowing that teams like Phoenix and Sacramento are poised to improve their win percentages as the season progresses. LeBron may not get to 28 or more and maybe not even 24 for the point total tonight, but he should be more than aggressive enough to get to 20. Authors’ Note: The lines on Sleeper are constantly changing (and sometimes expiring), so there is a high chance that one or all of the numbers will no longer be the same when you open your app. The values are excellent when first released, the only catch is that they are not all released at the same time. Vigilance could provide a solid return on investment this season, literally.
