NBA fans got their first look at the upcoming conversation between three of the sport’s greatest players on Tuesday.
Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry and Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant gathered for an “NBA OGs Convo” where they discussed and chose their legacies, what skills they would like to add from each other NBA today.
The conversation took place as the trio teamed up to compete in the Paris Olympics, with each player finishing the competition with several memorable moments before ultimately helping Team USA win a gold medal.
The trio reflected on their NBA journeys as they all made at least ten All-Star teams and won at least two championships.
“I think we’ve solidified ourselves in terms of the game of basketball and what we do,” James said (2:00 mark). “But I think the admiration comes from the longevity of waking up every day and still having the drive to want to be great.”
The three superstars didn’t hesitate to explain what skills they would complement each other.
“Be sure to give me KD’s left pull-up hesi,” James said (2:40 mark).
“Probably with Steph, I would say the quick twitch on the jump shot,” Durant said.
“I’m going to take LeBron’s IQ,” Curry explained. “To be able to single-handedly control the pace and flow of a game is crazy.”
The full discussion between Curry, Durant and James will be released on Wednesday.
