“Wordle” Today #1,286 Clues, Clues and Answers for Thursday, December 26th

There’s no better way to unwind from Christmas excesses than by relaxing with a puzzle or brainteaser.

Wordle is the popular word game of The New York Timeswhere five letters make a new word every day.

Players have six attempts to solve the word, with color-coded clues showing whether players are on the right track. A green tile means the letter is correct and in the right place. A yellow tile means the letter is correct but in the wrong place. A large tile means that the letter does not appear in the word at all.

Suitable for Christmas time, Wordle was created as a gift from Brooklyn-based software developer Josh Wardle for his puzzle-loving girlfriend Palek Shah.

It started in November 2021 as a small online game with 91 players, but was purchased by The New York Times in January 2022 for a seven-figure amount when the number of players reached 2 million people. It remains the publication’s most popular puzzle.

One of the reasons Wordle stands out from other games is its simplicity and accessibility. Playing Wordle only takes five minutes and is a nice break from work or, over the holidays, visiting relatives.

Newsweek has put together five hints to help you solve Thursday’s problem Wordle Puzzle. But scroll with caution! The answer is revealed below. So if you want to solve the problem without knowing the result, be careful.
