“Baby Driver” actor Hudson Meek has died at the age of 16

“Baby Driver” actor Hudson Meek has died. He was 16.

According to local television station WVTM, the teenager suffered blunt force injuries after falling from a moving vehicle on December 19 in his hometown of Vestavia Hills, Alabama.

He was taken to the University of Alabama Birmingham Hospital, where he died two days later.

“It breaks our hearts to inform you that Hudson Meek has gone home to be with Jesus tonight,” read a statement posted to Meek’s Instagram on December 21st.

“His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and made a significant impact on everyone he met.”

In addition to acting, Meek enjoyed spending time with his friends, exploring the forest, playing sports and traveling, according to his obituary.

“He loved skiing and could easily tackle the most difficult slopes that no one else in the family would dare to tackle,” the announcement said.

“One of his favorite places was the lake, tubing and wakeboarding.”

Meek’s accomplishments included becoming a certified diver at age 13, visiting all 50 states and watching all 36 seasons of The Simpsons.

Meek was described as “thoughtful and thoughtful” but “stubborn when he set his mind to something.”

A celebration of life will be held at Dawson Memorial Baptist Church in Alabama on December 28th and will be livestreamed on his Instagram page.

His death remains under investigation by the Vestavia Hills Police Department.

The child star is best known for playing the younger version of Ansel Elgort’s character in the 2017 action film “Baby Driver.”

He has also made guest appearances in several TV series, including “MacGyver” in 2018 and “Legacies” in 2022.

Meek’s most recent project, according to IMDb, was the thriller “The School Duel,” which was released in September.
