USA squad, how to watch the ice hockey championship

The United States will look to defend its title when the World Junior Ice Hockey Championships begin Thursday in Ottawa.

The Americans are bringing 10 players from that championship team to this year’s tournament, which features the world’s best U20 players, including drafted and draft-eligible NHL prospects.

The 25-man U.S. team (14 forwards, eight defensemen and three goaltenders) features six NHL first-round picks, eight second-round picks and eight other picks drafted in other rounds. 22 of the players are on college hockey teams.

The USA, together with Canada, Finland, Germany and Latvia, form Group A. Group B includes the Czech Republic, Kazakhstan, Slovakia, Sweden and Switzerland.

How can I watch the Junior World Championships?

The games will be broadcast on NHL Network in the United States and TSN in Canada.
