Social media is paying tribute to teenage “Baby Driver” actor Hudson Meek after a fatal accident

It’s been a week since 16-year-old Vestavia Hills actor Hudson Meek, best known for his role in Baby Driver, fell from a moving vehicle. Meek died two days later from the injuries he sustained in this accident.

Since his death was announced, many on social media have expressed their support and left messages for Meek and his family.

Some of them read: “Hudson’s light shone so bright and was a friend to all, we love you Hudson,” “His smile and laughter was contagious. He was a best (friend) to everyone” and “You were loved by so much.” Many Hudson, you will be so missed.

His family is asking for donations toward a newly established scholarship in his name. His obituary reads:

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Hudson J. Meek Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded annually to one student at Vestavia Hills High School. Donations can be made by Venmo to HudsonMeekScholarship or by deposit at a Wells Fargo branch to account #5908190381

Vestavia Hills police are leading the investigation and have not provided any details or information regarding the circumstances in which Meek fell from the vehicle.

ABC 33/40 contacted VHPD on December 23rd, shortly after his death was announced, and again on December 24th, both with no response.

On December 26th ABC 33/40 called the VHPD police chief and left a message but has not yet received a response.
