Teoscar Hernández and the Dodgers have agreed to a three-year, $66 million contract that includes a $15 million club option for 2028, a source told MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand on Friday evening. The deal includes a $23 million signing bonus and more than $23 million in deferrals.

The club has not confirmed this. Shortly before news of the deal broke, Hernández posted “I’m back” on his Instagram Stories.

Hernández rolled the dice a bit last offseason, turning down some multi-year offers to sign a one-year, $23.5 million deal with the Dodgers – but it certainly paid off. The 32-year-old outfielder had an incredible debut season in LA, hitting a career-best 33 home runs while winning the Home Run Derby, earning his second career All-Star award and helping the Dodgers win the World Series helped.

Hernández has been one of the majors’ most consistent power hitters over the past half-decade, hitting at least 25 homers in each of five full MLB seasons since 2019. He is one of only nine hitters to reach the 25-homer plateau five times during that stretch. The others are: Juan Soto, Aaron Judge, Yordan Alvarez, Kyle Schwarber, Manny Machado, Rafael Devers, Matt Olson and Pete Alonso.

In addition to his impressive 2024 regular season, Hernández had a solid performance during the Dodgers’ postseason title run. He reached base safely in 15 of the club’s 16 postseason games, recording three home runs, 12 RBIs and 10 walks.
