Apparently love costs something.
Jennifer Lopez was shocked when she learned how much Bruno Mars would reportedly charge her to perform at her wedding to her ex-fiancé Alex Rodriguez.
According to Lopez, 55, and Marcy Blum, Rodriguez’s celebrity wedding planner, the “Jenny From the Block” singer was stunned when she discovered Mars’ fee for an appearance after expressing interest in him hosting her guests Hosted a reception that never took place.
“We worked with J.Lo and A-Rod before they broke up, and they were going through a list of musicians, and she’s like, ‘What about Bruno Mars?'” Blum, 71, said on “The Skinny Confidential Him.” & Your Podcast” Thursday.
Blum recalled telling Lopez that she had “just worked with” Mars at another wedding and he was paid $5 million for the performance, which lasted just 45 minutes to an hour.
The “Let’s Get Loud” singer reportedly responded, “‘Don’t be ridiculous!'”
The Wedding Planning For Dummies author shared that she was able to tell the story because she “never signed a non-disclosure agreement” while working with Lopez and Rodriguez after their breakup.
Before rekindling her romance with estranged husband Ben Affleck, Lopez was engaged to the 49-year-old former New York Yankees player.
The couple began dating in 2017 and announced their engagement in 2019.
Lopez and Rodriguez planned to say “I do” in Italy in 2020, but had to postpone the ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
They never made it to the altar and called off their engagement in 2021. Lopez rekindled her relationship with Affleck shortly after the split.
The A-list couple, nicknamed “Bennifer,” began dating in the early 2000s and first got engaged in 2002. Due to “excessive media attention,” they postponed their wedding in 2003 just days before the planned ceremony.
Lopez and Affleck separated in 2004.
Almost 20 years later, the couple eloped in Las Vegas in 2022. They later had a formal wedding ceremony in Georgia.
In August, Lopez filed for divorce from Affleck, citing “irreconcilable differences.”
This is her fourth divorce and Affleck’s second.
The “Unstoppable” actress was previously married to Ojani Noa (1997 to 1998), Cris Judd (2002 to 2003) and Marc Anthony (2004 to 2014), with whom she has 16-year-old twins Emme and Max. They divorced in 2014 after 10 years of marriage.
Affleck famously married Jennifer Garner in 2005 before officially divorcing in 2018. They have three children together: Violet (19), Seraphina (15) and Samuel (12).
