fans of ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3‘ have more to celebrate as the Kartik Aaryan starrer gears up for its OTT release. After a successful theatrical release, the film will soon be streaming on OTT as it achieved box office success worldwide.
Netflix India recently announced the news via Instagram and shared a quirky video with Kartik Aaryan. In the clip, the actor enthusiastically approaches the camera but is suddenly startled, leaving viewers mesmerized. The caption of the post reads, “TUDUM: @kartikaaryan has a Christmas surprise for you! Coming soon.” “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3” will premiere on OTT December 27th.

Directed by Anees Bazmee, the film brings together an ensemble cast including Kartik Aaryan, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit and Triptii Dimri. Known for its blend of light-hearted comedy and gripping suspense, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 builds on the legacy of the series. Although the film received mixed reviews, it grossed a whopping Rs 400 crore at the domestic box office.
The film was released at the same time as Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again. Addressing the challenges of both films, director Anees Bazmee said that releasing two big-budget projects simultaneously on Diwali affected their performance.
“It was unfortunate for both films. With separate release dates, the collections would have been much better,” said Bazmee in an earlier interview with Galatta Plus. “We had announced our date more than a year ago and all our efforts went into completing the film in record time, starting in March and ending with its release in November.”
Bazmee also admitted that changing the release schedule was not a viable option as the marketing campaigns were timed to coincide with the holidays. Both films had valid reasons for achieving one Diwali release.
