HOUSTON – Just days after tornadoes caused dramatic scenes in the greater Houston area, tornadoes on Saturday caused damage in several locations on the outskirts of the country’s fourth-largest city.

The National Weather Service has filed at least six tornado reports in the Houston area.

The first report came from Katy, where video showed debris being thrown into the air as the twister passed through western Houston suburbs.

According to the NWS storm reports, damage was reported at a mobile home park and several cars were flipped.

About an hour later, additional damage was reported in the towns of Porter Heights and Splendora, north of Houston.

Drone video shows significant damage to buildings in Porter Heights. According to the NWS storm report, the East Montgomery Fire Department was also hit by the tornado.

Another NWS report showed significant damage near the town of Alvin, south of Houston. Several homes were destroyed and substation debris was seen on State Highway 35.

This is the second time this week that tornadoes have hit the Houston area. Several hurricanes caused chaos on Thursday, including one captured on video near El Campo, southwest of Houston.
