Injury Report: Week 17 vs. Rams

Injury Report: Week 17 vs. Rams

Special teams ace Joey Blount will be inactive Saturday. The safety was sidelined with a rib injury against the Panthers and was unable to practice all week.

“He plays different roles for us in four phases, so we will use different players in the spots where he sits,” coach Jonathan Gannon said. “He’s one of our alpha dogs on the team. This is a difficult question for us.”

The Cardinals are also without cornerback Elijah Jones (ankle) and kicker Matt Prater (left knee), who remain on injured reserve.

Gannon also said that James Conner is “doing well” as he trains despite a right knee injury. The running back’s use is questionable, as is fellow running back Trey Benson (ankle).

Outside linebacker Baron Browning and left guard Evan Brown (neck) are also questionable. Brown’s availability would be crucial considering the Cardinals have already lost both of their starting offensive tackles, although Brown was questionable with the same injury last week and still played all 70 snaps.

Linebacker Mack Wilson Sr. has passed the concussion protocol and is ready to play this weekend.

The Rams have listed right tackle Rob Havenstein (shoulder) as questionable.
