MILWAUKEE, WI – Matt Murray stopped a season-high 43 shots and Kieffer Bellows scored two goals to lead the Admirals to a 4-1 victory over the Chicago Wolves on Friday night at Panther Arena.

Ryan Ufko and Ozzy Wiesblatt also lit the Ads, ending Chicago’s six-game winning streak.

Murray made 29 saves in the final two periods and gave the Admirals a perfect 4-on-4 performance in the shootout. It was the eighth win of the season for Murray, who has conceded just one goal in four of his last five starts.

The Admirals took a 2-0 lead after the first half thanks to goals from Bellows and Ufko. Bellows scored his team-leading 11th goal of the season at 11:25 of the first frame when he picked up the rebound of a Fedor Svechkov goal and pushed it five holes past Spencer Martin.

Ufko lit the lamp with just 57 seconds left in the first game, scoring his second power play marker of the season. The game began when Ozzy Wiesblatt carried the puck along the Chicago blueline and then fired a shot that Ufko deflected past Martin.

After a scoreless second period, Bellows scored his second goal at 6:55 of the final period when he pushed a loose puck forward at the Ads blueline, skated alone to Martin and reached the puck around the Wolves goaltender who was dragged to the ground .

Chicago’s Ronan Seeley thwarted Murray’s shutout push when he scored on a one-timer with 1:06 to play before Wiesblatt tied Milwaukee with an empty-net goal, his sixth goal of the season.

The Admirals and Wolves get right back to action when they complete their home opener Saturday night at 7 p.m. at Allstate Arena. Milwaukee’s next home game is Monday, December 30th against the Cleveland Monsters at 7 p.m.
