In a heartfelt revelation, Gal Gadot has shared a deeply personal account of her struggle with a life-threatening health emergency during her recent pregnancy.

The “Wonder Woman” star announced on social media that she underwent emergency surgery to treat a “massive” blood clot in her brain while eight months into her pregnancy.
In an emotional post on Instagram, Gadot opened up about the ordeal she endured earlier this year.

“In February, during my eighth month of pregnancy, I was diagnosed with a massive blood clot in my brain,” she wrote.

“For weeks I suffered from excruciating headaches that left me bedridden until I finally underwent an MRI scan which revealed the shocking truth. In one moment, my family and I were confronted with how fragile life can be. It was a stark reminder of how quickly everything can change, and in the middle of a difficult year, I just wanted to hold on and live,” she added.
The actress described how she and her family rushed to the hospital, where she underwent emergency surgery within hours.
Amid the uncertainty and fear, Gadot gave birth to her fourth daughter, Ori, whose name has a deep meaning.
“Her name, which means ‘my light,’ was not chosen by chance,” Gadot revealed, adding, “Before the surgery, I told Jaron (Varsano, her husband) that she would be the light we were waiting for when our daughter would arrive.” I at the end of this tunnel.
Ori was born in early March and Gadot expressed her deep gratitude to the hospital’s medical team for their care and expertise.
She also confirmed that she has fully recovered. “I am completely healed and filled with gratitude for the life that has been given back to me,” she wrote.
Gadot also revealed that her decision to share her experience stems from a desire to raise awareness and encourage others to make their health a priority.
“The trip has taught me so much,” she explained, adding: “Firstly, it is important to listen to our body and trust what it is telling us. Pain, discomfort or even subtle changes often have a deeper meaning and it is important to engage with it.” Body can be life-saving.
She highlighted the rare but significant risk of Cerebral vein thrombosis (CVT) during pregnancy, noting that it may affect 3 in 100,000 women in the late 30s age group.
She ended her post by saying, “It is so important to catch it early because it is treatable. While it’s rare, it’s a possibility, and knowing it exists is the first step to addressing it. Sharing this is not meant to scare anyone, but to empower. If anything, one person feels compelled to do something about their health because of this story, it will be worth sharing.”
