DiVincenzo and Josh Minott did most of the work. Everyone made a three-pointer in this run, as did Nickeil Alexander-Walker. Minott started the run with a thunderous alley-oop dunk from Alexander-Walker, and DiVincenzo also drove through the lane with impunity.
At halftime the Wolves led 57-45.

Tipoff Sunday was delayed more than an hour to 8:10 p.m., eight days after a game against Golden State at Target Center was delayed more than 20 minutes because of a basket repair.

“If for some reason it was a little earlier, it could really mess up the guys’ routine – their pre-game nap, pre-game meal, stuff like that – but that’s probably more of an annoyance,” Spurs interim coach Mitch said Johnson. “I don’t think it should be such a big deal as the circumstances are the same for both teams.”

The Spurs have arrived. On Saturday morning, Wembanyama took on social media opponents and played chess in the rain in Washington Square Park after the Spurs beat the Nets the night before and before her plane left for Minnesota later in the day.

“He’s a better guy than me in the rain and the long journey,” Johnson said. “It was a real, genuine passion for him. I play chess, but not like that. I know the rules, but I wouldn’t call myself a chess player.”
