Commander's QB breaks RG3's rookie rushing record

It was a historic season for Jayden Daniels and the Washington Commanders.

The rookie quarterback reached his final performance in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game against the Atlanta Falcons, when he reached 820 rushing yards this season, surpassing the previous record for a rookie signal-caller set by Robert Griffin III – who also did Washington managed – in 2012.

Daniels ran to the record thanks to his third straight productive game on the floor. With the Commanders struggling to establish a running game early, he led his team with 85 rushing yards on 10 attempts, including a 25-yard keeper down the left sideline in the third quarter. The 2023 Heisman Trophy winner ran for 66 yards against the New Orleans Saints and managed 81 yards against the Philadelphia Eagles last week.
