Texas at Texas A&M: Live updates, score, highlights in the Lone Star Showdown

For the first time in 13 years Texas vs. Texas A&M is back. The rivalry dates back to 1894 and the series’ resumption on Saturday night will have a significant impact on the series SEC Championship Game and 12-team College Football Playoff.

The winner of Texas vs. Texas A&M earns a ticket to the SEC title game, where a first-round bye is up for grabs. For the Aggies, this is the only path to the CFP, while the Longhorns will have to wait a week after a loss at Texas to ensure they have done enough to reach the postseason tournament.

Texas leads the overall series 76-37-5, including 25-22-2 in College Station. The Horns and Aggies will meet on Saturday for the 119th time in history and the first time on the gridiron in 13 years. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET on ABC.

Blue’s catch was initially ruled incomplete, but upon review he got a foot in the back of the end zone. Both of Texas’ touchdowns were reviewed. Blue’s touchdown capped an 8-play, 80-yard drive.
