Player Ratings: Real Madrid 2 – 0 Getafe; 2024 LaLiga

Full player ratings below:

Thibaut Courtois – 7: There was relatively little to do in a comfortable game, although Getafe managed to hit the post twice.

Lucas Vazquez – 6: Solid return to the starting XI with support to double the defense from Valverde and Asensio.

Raul Asensio—8: The Canterano impresses game after game. His attitude, composure and overall decision making were outstanding. Despite being only 1.80m tall, the defender is excellent in the air and won all (3) of his aerial duels against Álvaro – a striker who is taller than him. Without a doubt, he deserves his place in the team.

Antonio Rüdiger—8: He got the better of Nyom at set pieces and forced the defender into a foul twice, the second time ending in a penalty. Has proven to be the perfect veteran partner for Asensio.

Fran Garcia – 7: With every game he gains more confidence – one of his best games in a Madrid jersey.

Dani Ceballos – 8.5: Man of the match alongside Jude Bellingham. Played as a “5” and was crucial in the defense for the team’s development. Covers large parts of the pitch and defends well in the middle. Finished the game with 110 touches, 89/95 passes completed, 6/8 long balls, was fouled 3 times, had 3 tackles, 2 interceptions and won 7 of 10 ground duels.

Fede Valverde – 7.5: He earned the Bernabéu’s applause several times for his quick recovery and winning the ball in key parts of the pitch.

Jude Bellingham – 8.5: He stepped up and scored the opening goal with a well-taken penalty. He later sent Mbappé a precise pass for the second goal. Only played 45 minutes but was extremely strong on the ball.

Brahim – 6: It was a quieter game by Brahim’s standards, but he still finished the game with three crucial passes.

Rodrygo—6: Good return from injury – was excellent at dribbling.

Mbappe – 6: Scored a brilliant goal from outside the box and curled his shot towards the back post, giving the goalkeeper no chance. Despite his goal, he still seemed to lack confidence. He missed three or four more clear chances and could easily have scored a hat-trick. Decision-making in transition still leaves much to be desired.

Substitutions:

Arda Güler – 6: Well-executed passes inside the box, including a sliding pass to an overlapping Lucas, but otherwise it was quiet.

Luka Modric—6: He came on as a substitute for Rodrygo in the 70th minute, the game was in a comfortable state and the score was 2-0.
