Although their season was largely disappointing, New York Jets fans had something to smile about on Sunday as excellent performances from Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams led to a 32-25 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Rodgers finished the game with 289 passing yards and three touchdowns, as well as 45 yards on the ground. Adams was his favorite target as he tallied 198 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

The Jets trailed 22-17 early in the fourth quarter and missed a field goal after the Jaguars’ go-ahead touchdown. New York’s defense stepped up to force Jacksonville off the field before Rodgers connected with Adams for a massive 71-yard touchdown pass. A two-point conversion made it 25:22.

The Jaguars answered with a field goal, giving the Jets just over a minute to break the field and take the lead.

He and New York went on a seven-play, 70-yard drive capped by a Breece Hall touchdown to take the lead. The Jags made an interception on their attempt to respond, sealing the win for the Jets.

Fans on social media were thrilled to see the “classic” performances from Rodgers and Adams in the win.

Unfortunately for the Jets, there have been few performances like Sunday’s this season. They improved to 4-10 with the win, but have already been eliminated from playoff contention.

If anything, the game could give fans something to look forward to if New York decides to play back with Rodgers under center next season.
