According to internet sleuths, Costco could dump Pepsi in favor of Coke

The idea of the Internet has fascinated me for a long time. I love the idea that someone with only a computer and an internet connection can attempt to solve a mystery without having access to physical evidence.

Now all the murders must be solved as some internet sleuths have turned their attention to a possible seismic shift occurring on the hallowed ground that is the Costco Food Court.

If reports are to be believed, Pepsi will be asked to pound sand to make way for the grand return of its big rival Coca-Cola.

Meanwhile, RC Cola is once again playing third fiddle in the cola wars. Sad.

The New York Post reported that the news came from an Instagram account called “Costco Insider” — so you know it’s real — and said that Coca-Cola would be coming back after a decade-long hiatus.

But it’s not just Costco Insider saying that, the news also reached Reddit, with the poster quoting a “well-informed source” who said the move will happen in 2025.

What does that mean?

Well, of course, that means that where Pepsi once was, there will now be Coke. I know this is a big deal for some people, but I’m one of those cola agnostics who doesn’t care what they get.

If I ask for a Coke and they say, “Is Pepsi OK?” I say, “Sure,” because I’m a gentleman.

Sure, I have preferences. In my opinion, Coke Zero is the best cola. But honestly, I don’t drink a lot of soda. I’m more of a seltzer guy.

In fact, I’m such a big seltzer guy that if a clown took out a geyser of seltzer from his boutonniere, I wouldn’t be compelled to do it but would say, “Thanks, Chuckles; That was refreshing.”

As long as the hot dog is healthy and happy, I don’t care what brand of cola is on hand to wash it down. We all know Costco’s glamorous food court is the star of the show.
