After a private conversation with Prince William, Trump says King Charles is fighting cancer “very hard.”

President-elect Donald Trump went on a charm offensive in the City of Love as he checked in on the United Kingdom’s royals and even praised Prince William’s dashing looks during his international trip to Paris.

Trump represented the United States on the world stage when he visited Notre Dame Cathedral in the French capital to celebrate its reopening after it was destroyed by fire five years ago.

The 78-year-old made headlines when he claimed to get along well with incumbent first lady Jill Biden, discussed world peace with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and French President Emmanuel Macron – and befriended Italy’s conservative Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, per The New York Post.

In between all this, he had time for a rendezvous with Prince William, whose presence in King Charles’ place was only confirmed on Friday.

The couple met at the cathedral and chatted briefly before having a one-on-one meeting at the British ambassador’s residence in Paris.

And Trump contributed to that The post about his “great conversation” with the prince. In the 40-minute chat, he said: “I asked him about his wife and he said she was fine. And I asked him about his father and his father fights very hard, and he loves his father and he loves his wife, so it was sad. We had a great conversation for half an hour, a little over half an hour. We had a great, great conversation.”

Trump was referring to the recent health struggles of William’s wife, Kate Middleton, and his father, King Charles, who were diagnosed with cancer this year.

Trump lightened the mood and also reportedly commented on the prince’s good looks. He said of the above track, “He’s a good-looking guy. He looked really, really good last night. Some people look better in person? He looked great. He looked really nice and I told him so.”

In comments to the BBC, Kensington Palace described the meeting as “warm and friendly”.
